Dr. Quinella A Minix has passionately worked to impact the lives of high-performance individuals and their families for more than 20 years. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, Certified Employee Assistance Professional, and a Board-Certified Coach with Executive, Career, and Life Coaching Designations.
She received a Bachelor of Psychology degree from St Leo University and a Master’s Degree in Counseling and a Doctorate in Counseling from Texas Southern University. Dr. Minix has considerable experience working with professional athletes, college athletes, celebrities, families of high - profile individuals,
corporate employee assistance programs, and executives around the world including
Europe, South America, Middle East, Canada, Asia, UK, and South Africa.
Her specialties include career transition, brain injury, stress/anxiety, grief/loss, performance enhancement, and sports injury. Dr. Minix believes that everyone has the potential to reach their best.
She has an uncanny ability to nurture an individual’s natural abilities to help them become their best self.
Additionally, Dr. Minix has a passion to help others learn.
Over the past 10 years, she has fervently taught at two universities in the
Houston area and has spoken at numerous conferences, events, and symposiums.
Dr. Minix philanthropic endeavors include being the founder of PsyFit Organization (psyfit.org) and as a former member of the Board of Directors for Houston Hospice and its financial development committee.
Her past appointment was the Vice President of the Houston Employee Assistance Professional Association.
She is a current member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated (Alpha Kappa Omega Chapter)
and St. Mary’s of the Purification Catholic Church.
One of the most important tools that an athlete can do is to learn how to focus daily. The Athlete’s Journal is a tool designed to teach an athlete how to reflect daily and to be more cognizant of what happens in their daily life.
It also will help an athlete examine the goals that they have and want to accomplish.
Based on her years of working with athletes, Dr. Que developed the proprietary “Mindy Over Injury: It’s All About Moi” model that has helped world-class athletes reduce likelihood of injury, extend their playing career, improve their quality of life, maximize their earning potential, and help their team win more games!
